Ok, I just have to start this thread. I was totally unimpressed with Mrs. Obama's Inauguration dress, coat and ball gown.
The local paper today says, of the ball gown: "...the first lady shimmered in a white, one-shouldered, floor length gown. It was embellished from top to bottom with white floral details and made by 26-year-old New York designer Jason Wu."
I thought it was frumpy looking, and did absolutely nothing for her figure. And a *train* on a gown meant for dancing!!!???
The-lined-to-the-edge-in-a-contrasting-color day coat flapped about, did NOT look warm, and, although interesting in texture did nothing for Mrs. O. At the luncheon, when she was not wearing the coat, it appeared that she had on the dress with a similar colored cardigan(?) sweater. And what exactly was the purpose of the ribbon...and the rhinestones at the neckline...
Anyone else?
