Home again!

After the funeral for my darling mother in law. Very sad to lose her, but at least she no longer suffers. The support of the group has been wonderful in these trying times.

I did take a little machine and put together a couple of quilt blocks for my birthday swap, but didn't have much heart to do more. Now I can settle to the bridesmaids and other work. We have one more trip to plan for towards the end of July, to scatter the ashes, and I want to take a week or so up north during August if DH's work allows, but we shall see.

Oh Kate, I had not heard! I'm so sorry for your loss.

I lost my MIL 2+ years ago and we all still miss her so very much. I'm so sorry you have to go through all of it.

Prayers,

Angela

I am so sorry, but as you said she is out of her suffering. Good thoughts are floating over the big pond to you, Alan, DS and the entire family. How did FIL hold up? Emily

Kate, I'm so sorry for your loss. Those of us who have/had loving mothers-in-law (and I count myself in that group) are the most fortunate people in the world. Please give Alan and James an extra hug from me.

He did very well, but this is the second time Joe has been widowed: Alan's mum died when he was about 21. This time Joe is 86 and is finding it much harder to cope. He is a doer and a survivor, but none of us live closer than 250 miles away...

If you're passing here, give me a shout and I'll get the kettle on!

Oh Kate,

Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I could be there so you could rant at somebody, or een to help you get things cut out so there wasn't so much stress, but know that I'm with you in thought and spirit

Kate, I'mm so sorry to hear of you loss. I never had a MIL, she died before I met my husband. I did have a great FIL and know how sad it is to lose someone who was so wonderful. Love to you and your family. Juno

I'm so sorry for your loss, Kate. I suppose all you can do now is try to rejoice that you had her for a while.

Say "hello" to the N.E. coast for me if you get that far.
