Emily, it's fun but keep in mind there is a steep learning curve. If you mostly find pre-made designs you like, you may not ever need digitizing software.
And if you are OCD like me, you'll spend -way- too much time tweaking designs. I even import purchased designs into my software and clean them up a little....
