I would like to make as an appreciation to the nurses and secretaries at my doctors office a nice sewn embroidered gift but have no clue what to do.

How about a nice bright tote bag or handbag made of fabric with a pretty embroidered design?? Be great for Spring and Summer.
Ummmm..... Handkerchiefs, bags, placemats, tablecloths, facecloths, scarves, the list is endless really...

One of my friends recently took a pot holder with a pocket and sewed four parallel rows of stiches vertically down the pocket. She then attached a velcro cable tie to the outside to allow the bundle to be rolled vertically and secured. It's a caddy for the place setting of stainless we keep at work for our "brown bag" lunches. This way, we always have our utensils.
I thought it was a marvelous idea. Wish I had thought of it.
