sticky tag

When noting the size of a shirt, why do manufacturers use long sticky strip tags? It is hard to get the sticky off the shirt. Does anyone have a suggestion how to get the residue off?

Thanks, Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,

Have you tried a product called "Goo Gone"? It's always worked well for me in getting off all kinds of sticky stuff like sticker residue, pine sap, chewing gum, etc. It's never damaged anything I've tried it on (clothing, carpet, lots more), but you should try it on a hidden seam or something first. Just dampen a corner of a rag with Goo Gone and gently rub it on the sticky area, then if it was a clothing item, I'd wash it right away. Goo Gone is usually sold in a lot of different stores here in the United States. Joann Fabrics usually has it, as do hardware stores, grocery stores (in the household cleaing aisle) and places like Wal-Mart. I have no affiliation with the product, just always been satisfied with it.

I have to agree with Donna G., Goo Gone is great for getting the sticky residue left from those #@%*&^ tags. Hope you can find it, you'll be pleased with the results. Also works for those tags placed on vases, candle jars, etc.

I use Eucalyptus Oil......just a drop on a cotton ball and wipe the item to remove the sticky residue.
