Two more fleece capes for my sister

One from 2014 which I just added, the other new this year. I added the pictures at the bottom, so scroll down below the "zebra" cape.

Thanks, I am going to have to wrestle with myself to give this last one up. ;-}

They are all lovely but the new white/ off white is particularly lovely, especially the pearlised( it looks pearlised to me ) thread for the embroidery.

Thank you, Claire.

Yes, I think you could call the thread pearlised, it shifts from glints of clear/white to green to pink and back again. I gulped at the price, $17 for one 780 yard spool, but I had a 40% off coupon so I decided to go for it. I tried to use that thread for the buttonholes too, but it just kept breaking. The buttons were $3.00 each! DS is worth it.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure she will like it.

DS called yesterday to suggest that we discontinue our annual gift exchange (!), I told her she was too late, I already had one in hand. I may decide to start gifting her on our birthday, instead.

If I ever get an embroidery machine, you will be my inspiration. I'm feeling particularly jealous of your sister right now as I'm sitting at my computer shivering.

Go for it! I didn't know I "needed" one until I got one. ;-D

I layer fleece jackets and sweaters this time of year. ;->

Yes, Claire, the white one is the best, I think. I didn't notice the mother-of-pearl effect until you pointed it out. Wonderful! I guess if I had an embroidery machine, I'd have been busy making snowflakes all of last year and this year I'd have had to make those Klimt-like patterns that are used in a girls' TV show called 'Mia and me'. All for DD... How fortunate that I don't own a fortune. ;-)

They are lovely, and just suit your sister rather well. But she looks so incredibly frail... Is she OK? I mean, apart from obviously being old with all the joys and pains that normally go along with it.

Hard to go wrong, when one replicates a favorite garment for someone.

My sister is 6 *minutes* younger than I. :-O

She has health issues. That is one of the reasons I make things for her in order to make her life a little easier. Private e-mail to follow.

Replied to your private mail yesterday but am not sure if my mail went through. Maybe just give me a short notice that it arrived?

That's absolutely fine, Beverly, I was just not sure if I had replied to the proper address. Just take your time, and good luck with your tailoring!
