Whew!

With help from my DD and her mini-van, I just delivered 26 items for the OR State Fair. Judging takes place toward the end of August, wish me luck! ;-)

Beverly, There is no doubt in my mind that you will do well. Your work is so lovely. Good luck and keep us posted. Juno

Sounds like making costumes for a play! Best of luck with them.

All the best - sounds like a lot of work went into that! Let us know the outcome.

Good luck!!! Any idea how stiff the competition is?

Thanks, you just never know what the other entries will be. I'll post the results here, good or bad.

Thanks, Kate. Actually there were categories for costumes, and I was able to enter two of them (child's and adult's).

Indeed! All my sewing from this past year plus.

Will do, and thanks for the good wishes.

One never knows, do one??? ;-) It really is the unknown factor in entering such an event. I'm entered in the amateur category, as I neither teach or sell my sewing skills. It's fun no matter what.

Well, I'll bet *you* are the competition anyway....

Thanks! Much of the work I submitted was included in the pictures of my daughter's wedding:

took pictures before sending everything off (just for insurance purposes), but I will take some additional ones after I get everything back and put them on my site.

I took a few pictures at the Fair today:

Wow...looks like you cornered all the blue ribbons! Mega congratulations!

Congratulations on all the blue ribbons, I forgot to mention that in the earlier message. Emily

Nope, there were a few I didn't garner... :-]

Thanks!

Well for starters, I can't perform brain surgery...or drive a nail home without hitting my thumb...or compose poetry...or re-wire the house... ;-)

Thank you!!! I was completely blown away by having so many ribbons awarded. My daughter is accompanying me to the awards ceremony Monday to take some pictures. I really do think these ribbons are going into a shadow box for posterity. :-)
