I read this forum once in a while (frequent the Wreck but lately I'll only post to ABP{W|F}, spaltedBoard.com, and a few others). Anyway, this weekend I purchased some QS magnolia & camphor from a nice guy named Willy near Hawthorne, FL (Gainesville, FL for those who don't know the area).
Willy also had some QS red gum & QS red & white oak for sale, and a LOT (an awful lot) of large, large chunks of many other species of wood that'd be nice for turning. He's asking $2.50/BF for the QS oak if memory serves me. The camphor is $2.50/BF, the magnolia didn't last ;-}
The main business there is Tree Service, but they got a smallish sawmill and the work was good (consistent 4/4 boards). Call him if your interested; his phone number is 352-481-6264. I have nothing to do with his business except being a customer. I told him I'd pass his name on.
