I am putting together a lathe with the intent of turning hollow forms and bowls. I notice a slight wobble in the spindle approx. 1/32" Is this goping to be a big problem in wood turning? I know it would with a metal lathe, but is it vital with wood? any advise is accepted. thnaks chuck

Depends. If it's moving in the bearings, fix it, it's quite unacceptable.
If it's solid in the bearings but the spindle is bent, you can compensate with a trued waste block on the faceplate.
As long as you don't remount a piece on the spindle it shouldn't matter. The piece is rotating around "some" center. But if remount it - even just take the faceplace or chuck off and put it back on it may not screw on in the exact rotation as the previous time and they the wobble would come into play.
If the spindle is loose - you need new bearings.
Call it under warrenty and have the maker fix it {@_@} !!
