OneWay Talon Chuck

I have ordered another Talon body so I don't have to change jaws all the time. I use it most of the time and I have a Vicmarc 120 and Supernova2, but live the Talon.

If the gap is uniform around the chuck/adapter interface and it runs true on the spindle it probably isn't a problem. Did you check for any foreign material before you assembled it.

I have 2 Talons and the adapters have according to my highly accurate, trained eyeball about .05" space which is just under 1/16".

Did you try disassembling and reassembling? In case you don't know, after removing the screws, you jack the adapter out of the chuck by putting 2 of the screws into the threaded holes in the adapter and evenly tightening them to pull the adapter out.

By all means call Oneway if you are concerned.

Just to make this a little longer, you also want to tighten each screw a little at a time to help draw the adapter into the chuck as square as possible.. Mac
