Suuuure, blame *me* for your run-on mouth! ;op~

Yeah, I know all about how a few hours to someone in remission is equal to a LOT more hours of hard work to a healthy person. Been there, done that! It will gradually come back for him though.... it just takes a while to get there. Meanwhile I am happy for him that he is in remission... what a great way to welcome in the New Year, whether he could stay awake for the actual ball dropping or not.

I had all kinds of plans to watch the ball drop on Times Square with Dick Clark last night. I sat on the sofa with my glass of gingerale and watched a bit of the Three Stooges while waiting... then I turned the furnace off (it got a little too warm here) and had my afghan handy to snuggle under when the temperature dropped a bit... actually saw Dick Clark return (it was so good to see him back, and what a great recovery he made from his stroke last year), saw the Mariah Carey part... then closed my eyes during commercials (about 11:40) and proceeded to zonk out... TOTALLY missing the New Year coming in! LOL Ah well, it isn't my first time sleeping through the coming of the New Year, but other years it has been by my own choice! I woke up about 1:28 AM, lifted my glass of gingerale to have a little sip to ring in the New Year *late*, then put it in the fridge and wandered off to bed where Casper came in and snuggled with me.

:o) I hope you had a nice celebration! I let our dogs out at about 9:30 last night, and within two seconds Casper was barking the place down, so I had to open the door to let them back in. His hackles were standing up all the way from his neck to his tail... and as I stood there waiting for Buffy (the older dog) to make her way up the steps of the deck, I heard the reason that he had been so upset. Some people behind us were setting off fireworks... 2 1/2 hours *early*, but there they were celebrating. So I kept the dogs inside until I woke up after 1 AM, then let them out for a couple of minutes while I went to the washroom before heading off to bed.

LOL, I'll write that 'book' "later", but let's just say I was CREDITING you, rather than BLAMING you! Hugs, Noreen

Funny that you should mention the panic of 2000, Mirjam. I was just thinking about that a couple of days ago... how everyone was stocking up on kerosene for oil lamps, gasoline for vehicles, and unplugging the computers expecting a major crash throughout the world.

I know that you are in the future compared to the rest of us... so by the time you read this it will likely already be Jan 2nd, 2006. I wish you peace, love and happiness my friend! :o)

*hugs* Gemini
