A pleasure to look AND TO MAKE

As i look into my closet, i enjoy mu various knitted clothes, In fact i can say IT IS A PLEASURE TO LOOK , at the things i made myself , as well as others over the years. Was discussing something else with a long time aquaintance , who complained that she was sooooooo bored, i know she is a great reader like me, thus asked her why she didn`t do some hand craft , she wondered which? carefully i suggested knitting ??? knitting she said , old ladies knit!!!! Not wanting to suggest that at 70 , she might be nearing that age, i suggested that maybe those `old` ladies reached their Honorable old age because they had the pleasurew of making and looking at their knitted work,,,, To my great Joy there was an interview with RUTH DAYAN, in the Ma`ariv weekend neswpaper. Ruth is 90, still drives herself around , and maybe some of you remember that She patricipated Last year in out "The Magic Wands " exhibition. In the interview she says that she knits dolls in order not to sit idle by the TV ,,, Thus Knitting is a pleasure by all means , mirjam

Did you convince her to give knitting a try Mirjam? Dennis :)

Mirjam,

How true, I have severe never damage in my neck form working on the rail road section gang. It pithes the nerves that goes to my arms. I have severe atrophy in my right hand. The neurologist told me to never quit knitting and crocheting, he said my hobby was a savior to me. Please pass this on to you friend.

Knit and crochet for ever, Dennis & Gail
