Taking a break. I need a cup of coffee and a few minutes to relax before the onslaught, so am up here in my office by myself for a bit.

I finally did finish the scarf for my son's girl friend and have it wrapped and under the tree. Whew. I thought I was going to have to put it in her stocking while it was still on the needles. A few other knit items are there as well, but nothing else major.

I need to get back to work now - it is still relatively early here and there is lots more to do to get food for the day organized.

Merry Christmas - Happy Chanuka - Peace to all of you and Blessings for the New Year.

Just taking a break from the kitchen LOL. Already made: Cinnamon Streusel, Banana nut bread, a pan of chocolate chunk brownies that my son is going to take over to his friends that have to work today (video store on the corner), little chocolate cakes that I still have to dribble with cream cheese icing and mini chocolate chips, then I need to start dinner- a big prime rib roast with Yorkshire puddings, red potaoes and baby carrots......didn't clean up the wrapping paper from the floor, why bother, more people are coming over soon to add to it......cats are happy, theres more room for them to lay under the tree. Have a safe and happy holiday everyone. Marie and the cats

Hi Everyone,

We are home after having a lovely dinner at our favorite Chinese buffet. They do a great prime rib and turkey dinner. I cooked ours yesterday and we had it then, so leftovers tonight.

Now the best part of our day was seeing the expression on the three waitresses faces when they opened the afghans that I had made for them in their favorite colors. They were speechless and so happy to think that someone would make them a gift. It gave us a wonderful feeling to know that we made someone else happy on Christmas Day.

Hugs,

Nora

Just checking in and relaxing after our busy day visiting with my family. Now enjoying a glass of sherry while reading messages here.

Take care and hope everyone had a good day.

Nora, What a nice thing for you to do! I have yet to find anyone who dislikes a hand-knitted gift - I think most folks realize what a lovely gift of time and love it is!

Which Chinese buffet did you go to? There's one on rt 50 in Burnt Hills - is that where you went?
