you guys are all scaring me - I hope it's not contagious... sandra rose

Sounds pretty much what we are doing:) I have a workroom downstairs that I share with a large chest freezer. We are decluttering like mad and hope to have a nice space at the end of it. I am determined to have my house totally decluttered by the end of this year!!!!

OHHH! I had to look up the word "contagious"... and suddenly I understand why I have been like this! I have had "close encounters(in Norwegian translated to *close contact*, a bit more correct here, may be) of third grade" with this news group for a long time..., and you see the result! Be careful! Mirjam and Ophelia, I did that with my fleece stash. after a felting class. Left all kinds of coloured leftovers with a school teacher, she was delighted and I was happy that I did not have to take it back home. Naturally my neighbour who makes beautiful dolls came by for a bit of white angora goat fleece, for hair for her Russion doll, and I had just given it all away. One of the reason I have so much stuff sitting around, you never know when you need it.....(grin) Els

Oh yeah we do love them, but I did put my foot down on all the old computer stuff in my weaving room. With the new computers, all up and running I phoned the Sally Ann and asked if they were interested in Old, old Macs. I was told as long as they were in working order, they would love to have them. So I told the men folks, that we could not withhold good working computers from the Sally Ann. It is all gone, for now....(laughing) This stuff piles up faster than yarn, I tell you. WE had three keyboards and buckets full with cables and gadgets, none of it useable anymore because of the change over to USB connections, floppies to CD and zip drives, to CD drives, etc etc etc. I hope someone else will make good use of it, at the same time making some money for a good cause.

I have a friend who refurbishes old computers and gives them away. I pass mine on to him, and children benefit. They may not be able to get the Internet, but they can play games and use the Word Processor.
