FO: NYCO

Apr 09, 2005 4 Replies

I have just finished sewing up my NYCO. I made a shrug out of Brilla and Naturally Woodland 12-Ply. Just in time to wear it to a party tonight. Hooray!

The shrug is basically a rectangle. With size 3 needles, I cast on 49 stitches and did a K1, P1 rib for 3 1/2 inches with just the Brilla alone. Then I added the Woodland and knit in stockinette on size 15 needles until I reached the length I wanted. I then switched back to the Brilla alone for the other cuff. I finished by sewing up the sleeves using the mattress stitch for the very first time.

I have reported the completion of your NYCO. It sounds wonderful.

Aud, I had wanted DH to take my picture on Saturday night when I was dressed up and wearing the shrug, but of course, we were running late, so he didn't. Now I have to find the time, and figure out a way to take my own picture. LOL. If I can get a picture taken soon, either personally or by DH or DS, I'll let you know. But, then again, I don't have a blog or a website to post pictures.

Hi Janise (and Aud)!

You can post very simply the picture on this hosting website:

formatting link

It=B4s very simple to use. Then you can post here the link to your pic. Tiny is referred to size of the URL you get, not to the size of the pic.

Good luck!
