Good Friday Morning!

Well, it's almost a good morning - I think I just made the system burp, so if you see this as a second post, it's because my fingers aren't quite awake yet.

Just wanted to stop in and say "Hi!" and see what everyone has been up to. Apparently, there are some nasty, little gremlins trying to wreak havoc and cause all sorts of mischief - it's a shame they don't have anything better or more constructive to do.

It's rainy and windy here today - cold, too.

I have almost a large enough load to bisque fire those knitting needle crocks, so should have something for you to see and critique by the end of next week. Time has been at a premium right now, so I've been scrounging and scavenging some student work from school to help fill the load - don't want to fire it nearly empty.

I don't have much in the way of news - haven't had much time to devote to any handwork.

Els, I've let you down - I haven't warped the loom yet. Not because I don't want to - because I just can't get to it - lack of something called 'time". Should slow down in another week or so. (My 'real' job is at our community college - Commencement is next week.)

Time to get going - if I don't get a chance to stop in again before Sunday, "Happy Mother's Day!" to all our moms.

Take care,

Lori

Hi Lori,

I work at a community college too (I teach English), and I just turned in the last of my grades. Whoo hoo! We have comencement next week also, and I teach an online summer course, but I see lots of nice knitting time in the near future, as long as my elbow cooperates.

Luckily, Joy, all our grading is done online now - it's sooooooo much easier and simpler - well, for MOST of the faculty - we do have our hold-outs.

One more week to summer hours - I'll add MY "Whoo Hoo!" here. I hope you get plenty of knitting time in - I'm not sure I'll get any knitting done, but, I have plenty of sewing to catch up and am looking forward to spending more time with my 93-year-old mom without driving myself nuttier than I already am. She lives an hour away, so the extra summer time is very valuable in that respect - I can take her out for lunch on Fridays, instead of always waiting until the week-end.

Good luck with commencement and your summer class - hope the elbow doesn't give you fits so you can get those needles working overtime.....

Take care,

Lori
