HOLIDAY WEEKEND

X-No-Archive:yes

Let's all remember what this Holiday Weekend is all about. Take time to remember those who went before us and have given us the lives we now lead. CSPAN will have special programming today and tomorrow and I'm sure the networks and cable stations will as well. Most towns will have parades as well.

Let's see those flags.

Someone obviously thinks their country is the only one in existence. Here in the UK we are celebrating the Spring Bank Holiday but we're not all dressed like Druids and leaping around Stonehenge! ;-P

Sadly, the message and its true intent has been lost....along with the lives and the proper tribute that should be given.

This day isn't about our nation as a whole. It is about all those men and women who regardless of their point of view and/or freedom to with regard to serving their country during war, military conflict or a global police action.

Ok, I've "shushed". ;-)

Here is a page listing the UK holidays for this year - it is really on May 1st that some individuals do odd things in the countryside. I still find the weather a little chilly at that time of year for sun worshipping!

LOL, you wish Noreen - that's the Hollywood version.

Nobody knows what happened to Druids after the Romans destroyed their Druid's "college" on the Isle of Anglesey. Modern day Druids are a very moral lot! See
