Well, I added the border in the multicoloured yarn, as everyone suggested. Plus made a little hat too. The second hat is partly done but might need to be ripped out; I think I miscounted somewhere (that's what can happen when you don't use patterns).

Wait, here's a pattern: I drew iit on a bar napkin using a fountain pen The scribbles are kind of runny but I can make out enough of it to see that this is the first provisional cast on calculation for my purple Wookpak pullover.

Michelle, I missed the vote, but I also would have said the multi. The finished blanket came out beautifully. I'm sure that it and the hat(s) will be well loved and appreciated.
