Knitted Moebious Hat DONE !!!

Well ladies the Knitted Moebious hat is already in the post to my friend`s house ....

here are the instructions

Measure head around. make a gugue swatch .. [on a circular needle 7 mm , 20 st = 15,5 cm and i need 56 cm i.e, i cast on 72 st. laid them flat , turned and cast another 72 st..on the underside of the first cast on .now i worked it in k 3 p 3 till the work [ measured from side to side

21 cm , now k1. p1, over 4 cm .... cast off neatly , work end thread and start thread away , put over your head ans arrange so it feels ok ,,, it loks a bit like a headscarf rolled over your head , you can wear it with the folded part in front on side or the back ,, the ends close neatly over each other thus no cold spot ,,,,,, mirjam this is my own worked pattern i give it to all to use ,,,, mirjam

Mirjam could you explain how you cast on 72 st., then turned and cast on another 72 st.

I can't picture this.

No trouble Arlene ,, i cast on my stiches the knitiing way ,,, i make a loop , knit a stich in this loop , put the needle [heads as i use a circular ] side by side and put the new stich on my right ide needle , knit another stich, put it on right side etc,,,, till i have

72 , now i most stiches to left side of the circulr , and put the needles together as if i would like to knit in a circle , but INSTEAD i push my needle in the Underside of my 1st stich , and knit a stich which i now put on my right side needle , now knit a stich into the UNDER loop of each one of the 72 stich , just behave as if the underside is a stich ,, it might be a bit hard to do at first than use a a thinner needle just to knit the each stich and move it to the proper needle for good sizing ... i hope this clear it a bit .. mirjam
