Learning Knitting English - again

Hi everyone! I think I have learnt some new words again. What do I mean? I mean...I know the method I normally use when I cast on...I know how it looks. And I also know that it is called Continental Method or Double Cast-On Method. Or German Twist...something. Anyways...that is how I normally knit. I just wonder...isn't it work in cases you must cast on more stitches (for example if you knit something sideways aka cuff-to-cuff) ? Best: Pirjo

Hi Pirjo

I've never done cuff to cuff so can't advise I shall have to have a try at this at some point.

Hi again! Thank you for your response anyways. I think I just have to "jump from a cliff" or something like that. I know you know what I mean. Not literally, but figuratively. Best: Pirjo

Hi Pirjo,

What are you knitting that you need to cast on more stitches? I've never done a cuff to cuff and have just added loops to the needle to make more stitches when needed.

I think the trick Pirjo is to learn one thing at a time, and learn it well, so that you can do it without having to look at the information for it, then move onto the next thing.

This said, you have come along way since a couple of years back, and that is a good acheivement

Hi Pirjo,

Are you sure you haven't done a slipover before? I think you have and it was one without sleeves. I'll have to check what I have here and if I find it, I'll tell you what color it is.

Hi Auntie! I think we both are right. I have never knitted slipover *sideways* aka from cuff to cuff. But from waist to neck...I think I have done that. Let's hope the best. I will wait for what you find. Best: Pirjo

Hi Pirjo,

Yes, you are correct, not from cuff to cuff. I've sent you an offlist note telling you what I have found.
