I do like the Regia Jacquard ones better than Fortissiam Mexico but I wouldn't call either of them ugly. You have to remember that someone liked that color scheme well enough to make a yarn out of it, so you just have to find the right person to wear the socks. Someone bright.

The hat is adorable.

It's a good book. There are a lot of afghans I'd like to do out of it. I have a few baby afghan pattern books and that's the one I always end up turning to.

I did it for a knit-along at my LYS and everyone did it in a different set of colors. It was so neat to see how they all came out so differently. The GMS book has a sweater in the same pattern as well (if you've seen the book, it is the one on the cover).LauraJ

Yes, you are right about that. Everyone certainly has their own tastes. I was reminded about that when I was looking for a wedding dress, when we look for furniture and even lots of times when I am looking for yarn!

Yes, the originals were there the day they were supposed to be, then just belched themselves up again as brand new weeks later. ah well! LOL Noreen
