November FO's early

Hi

Well believe it or not I have stuff to report this month. Thank goodness for big knitting needles as that is the only way I got things completed.

FO's Nephew's granny square afghan (finally completed)

5 toques for kids 1 scarf 2 cable headbands 1 Santa hat toilet paper cover 1 disco yarn scarf

WIP's lots of stuff that I am lookng forward to getting back to

I also now have a list of things that I want to make once I'm back knitting and crocheting.

I think knitting I should be able to do even with the brace on once the pain is less.

DH knows how stubborn I am so knew I would finish items in November even with the pain. The toques were very simple so they didn't take too long so it felt good getting them done.

The afghan was the worst things to finish as crocheting is very hard but thanks to DH who sewed ends in on the squares I was able to get this Christmas present finished.

Thanks again for all the good wishes and prayers. DH will post once we are home tomorrow afternoon.

I will try and post in a few days when I can type a bit better.

Hi Darlene,

That's some list for all the pain you have had. Congratulations and we'll be waiting to hear from Andy.

Hugs,

Nora

Nora

I have always said I was very stubborn and loved my crafts so this just proved it to everyone including me.

Wow, Darlene, all that with the problems you are having with your thumb. I am impressed! Hope all goes well for you.

I have finished only a couple of things this month. I was gone part of the time . Though I took a project with me to my daughter's house, I found I didn't knit there much at all. I was taking care of the house and the grandchildren while her DH was having surgery in NYC and she was going back and forth. Three kids including a three year old kept me pretty busy even though the older ones were in school or doing homework most of the time.

Here are my pitifully few FO's One boys sweater - Cowichen style - sold at an environmental org. auction One hat from leftover yarn from that sweater - going to Afghans for Afghans One bolero (Debbie Bliss pattern) sweater for my DGD#3 One simple hat for DH (This time it fit right - last time he thought it too big)

My DH's gloves are still in the WIP category A sweater for him is leaning toward the permanent UFO pile

DGD#2 has put in a request for a sweater. She is 11 - an age where there seems to be a gap in many of the pattern books I have. I think maybe a Wallaby or a top down raglan in a favorite color wool may be good. She is an active kid and likes outdoor play.

Hi Darlene, I've very impressed with how much you have accomplished despite the pain. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping your surgery is over quickly and without complications. Hope to see you back here soon.
