Need help........ :)

Hi Cher,

I remember now... and I'm not joking... they are called cellophane noodles, they are apparently clear, very thin, cook up in pretty much an instant, are very 'oriental' tasting. Delicious.

Hi David, Well, I asked about how you read because I was curious. I'm always inquisitive. Thanks for letting me know. I haven't gotten back to the quilt. Stupid knitting. HA HA. I plan to get back to the quilt this coming week. It is a queen size so I better get at it. Ah, yes I am so enjoying learning all these things. The only thing I did up until a few years ago was macramé back in the 80's. Have a super Saturday, Susie

You'll have to make your own noodles David, they are so much better than any shop bought rubbish with all the added things you don't know what is in them.

I have a pasta and noodle machine that takes all the hard work out of it. I make the dough, then push it through the rollers of the machine several times then through the cutting rollers to the size I want it to be.

Go on give it a try. You don't know what you are missing.

Stupid knitting?!?!? Blasphemy!!! LOL Just kidding, it *does* occasionally get in the way of other things we *should* be doing! ;o)

Macrame'? *perk* :o) I have always wanted to macrame' (no, people, I

*still* haven't tried it, even though I got some pretty neat books on it with patterns and all)... my Dad learned to macrame' when he was in the navy... all those knots and all, you know. I knew that he knew how when I was a teen, but of course being a typical teen I didn't want to ask my parent to teach me anything. Then other things happened in my life, and before I knew it I was grown up with a son, and suddenly both my parents had back-to-back strokes and then I *couldn't* ask Daddy to teach me to macrame'. I've been kicking myself ever since. :o/ Anyway, it's very nice for you that you do know how to do it... and *someday* I will get around to trying it... if I can ever get the house sorted out first... that's my biggest thing that I want done before trying to teach myself anything new.

Peace! Gemini

You really ought to give macramé a try. It is fun. I guess we shouldn't look back at what could have been but what could be eh????????? Enjoy your weekend, Susie

Hi Susie,

I can tell you're inquisitive and knowledgable in many areas, I enjoy being that way too. When did you start being like that? I started pretty much when I was a kid.

enjoy the rest of your week!

Great, thanks for the tip cher! I heard a noodle maker advertised years ago on an infomercial, I'll check out London Drugs (a great Canadian drug store which carries much more than drugs...)

cheers,

David

Hi David, You sure made me think. I can't say I was inquisitive at all growing up until I got in my junior year in high school and then I started diving in to learn the WHYS of the subject. I remember diving into Christianity from 1984 until just a few years ago. I became very interested in bread making and dove into that with gusto, then Atkins, then quilting in the last two years, purse making and now knitting. I have books galore on all of those subjects. It is fun that's for sure. Susie

Hi Susie,

You got me to thinking too... in school I was very interested in astronomy (has my own telescope), electronics, crocheting, electronic music, the occult. I didn't really expand beyond that. However, after high school (during which time I became very disillusioned with "formal" education), my interests greatly expanded.

Cheers,

David
