Actually, believe it or not (because of the hard time I had with it a few years ago, and the fact that I have continued on over the years with the stomach problems that land me in the hospital, and occasionally have a hard time swallowing), I *asked* for the "down the throat" one to be done while I was sleeping so I wouldn't gag on the dorky tube this time. Glad I did now, otherwise it could have gone on for another few years without being detected that I had something that could eventually turn to cancer if not monitored. The doctor had only scheduled the *other* one to check if I had IBS because that's what another doctor had suggested that I might have. I was told in the hospital that he would do the "down the throat" one if he had enough time... he had two cancellations, so he had enough time, thankfully. :o)

Yes, it was exhausting, and I slept most of the day and night after having the procedures done and got back home, but the only discomfort I felt at all is the slightly sore throat where the tube had been down there... it's still sore this morning, but cold drinks (ice water) relieves it a bit.

As for Casper.... he always get lots of pats and tummy rubs. ;o) He was a bit upset last night... we had a MAJOR thunder and lightning storm happening here. Big flashes of lightning that lit up the entire house even though the drapes were closed, and then very loud rolling thunder that seemed to go all around the town. Casper got off his bed (an old chair) and was over on the couch with "Mama" in two seconds flat. He doesn't shiver or cry, but he likes to be right beside me when that happens... especially when it's THAT loud.

Buffy was a little upset, at one point, but mostly just paced back and forth in the laundryroom... Matthew went to her. I think she might not have heard very much of it because she will be 14 in May and it seems like she has lost a lot of her hearing over the last year or so.
