OT: Thumb problem again

Hi

Well for those of you that have been around the last couple of years you will remember that I ended up having thumb surgery two years ago June.

I am now dealing with the same problem of extreme pain in my left thumb now and am waiting to see a specialist/surgeon on August 8th to see if he can do anything to help with the pain.

I am trying to keep a very positive attitude but have to admit that the pain does get me really down and this thumb problem makes crocheting and knitting very hard. I am also a leftie and it's my left thumb that is causing all the problem this time.

I have been reading the posts lately but have to admit that after typing all day at work during the week typing more in the evening is something that I am trying to limit. Yes I will be around but please understand if I don't post much.

Take care

OH, Darlene, that's too bad! I hope that you won't end up having to have surgery this time.

Hi! Oh Darlene...I have never been through such a thing you are going through now. But the fact you feel down...I have felt down too, even the reason is not the same. But now things look better.

Please, promise me that you take it easy there and do not type too much.

I wish you heal soon. Best: Pirjo

Hi Darlene,

Well, I've had problems as you know with the left one is why I don't knit that much, now it's the right one that is clicking away at the first knuckle. One of these days I'll have to see my primary doctor to see what he thinks should be done, hopefully nothing. So far it hasn't slowed down my crochet hooks.

Keep your chin up.

Hugs,

Nora

I will try my best to keep my typing and over work of my thumb down so that it will get better quickly.

My doctor and I are both hoping that we caught this problem early enough and a cortizone shot will solve the problem.

Only time will tell. Darlene in Toronto
