OT, very OT, a RANT and RAVE, grrrrrrrrrrr

Hallo Nun YA , i am sorry i can`t remember having welcomed you , I also don`t remember reading what you knit/crochet /weave,,, forgive me for my overcrowded mind and thus not remembering when you last posted,,, Thus Welcome to this group, that was and still is one of the nicest groups on the net. Some little `debates` getting out of hand are happening everywhere , thus here as well,,,,, it is ok and they don`t get to WARS as they do on other places. It seems and is the Nature of modern life that people `meet` on ngs and feel well enough to share parts of their feelings with the other readers/writers on the ngs. I feel that Good discussions are good for all concerned , Life all over the Globus gets more and more complicated for those who aren`t close to the Political Kitchens, nore to any Establishment. the `little ng s communities` that share knowledge, is OUR [all humans] best deffence against the Big & rich who just swallow earth`s wealth. I am sorry if you ever asked a question and wasn`t answered,,,I am glad you still read it, but i am not sure that this is the tright place to stay for

there are some places on line that do a much clearer work of this degrading others. i hope you have a lovely Craft day whichever craft you do. mirjam

Daisy i haven`t seen the start of this discussion, and i don`t know where you live [i mean country or continent]. But in some cultures mothers breats feed their children till they are 3 and more, and it is the norm. In many countries this is the only clean milk a baby can get. I think breast feeding time, is a most private thing, If a woman is lucky to have enough milk so that she can dcide how long she will do it, Lucky her. It is none of any body else`s business. Feeding babies , trends are going and coming , and babies are born and grow up..... And we all love them and should put our energy in making the world a better place for ALL babies. Better also in the way we respect others,to do each as THEY want /need /can . mirjam

I don`t know where you live , but i live in Asia , Middle east and many societies here do indeed breast feed a child as long as they can .And many of my American Academic friends do the same !!!!. mirjam

Hahahahha Sofia , indeed it is amusing , i found a blouse under the pile , that i recognized to belong to my son. I sewed on 2 buuttons and gave him the shirt , it was in my `repair box` for such a long time [ shame on me] that he forgot it was his ,,,,, i alos found a skirt that i ythouight i misplaced or that it flew with the wind [ i hang my wash out] ,,,,, and there it was neatly smiling at me ,,, but it was ,much too wide , thus some more repairing,,,, My rags pile is wonderful, and i packed some boxes for quilting friends ,,,, I also found some nice parts i can applique myself ,,,, mirjam

Sorry, but you need some reading help. I never commented on what "boobs" might be "for," though I think your pal Wooley did make some tacky remarks in that direction. Not my style at all. Breastfeeding is a wonderful thing. Breasfeeding a 4 year-old in our (USA) society is an irresponsible thing.

Now, shoo.

Breastfeeding is breastfeeding. Just because you have hangups doesn't mean everybody has to share them with you.

For the record, I've got three kids. The girls are grown and gone and have kids of their own. My older daughter's daughter is almost four and guess what...

She's still on the boob!

Oh hey, I keep meaning to ask, who is it who's breastfeeding a 4yo? Or who did?

I missed the beginning of this, but this guy's view is that:

One does not throw out good milk, just to go to the store and buy commercial cow's milk.

Can't spell either I see. Don't talk to me about trashy behaviour, since it would be the pot calling the kettle black.

Nope, don't wonder one bit. Don't even know who you are.

be a horrible example of how rotten humans can > be to each other.

Uh huh. Then why are you coming off with a holier-than-thou attitude? There are many kind and helpful people on this group, but if you can't find them, then you aren't really reading it, are you?

Speak for yourself, if indeed you are a woman. I can't believe you've resurrected this unbelievably old rant of yours. If you don't like breasts and breastfeeding fine - just go bother some other people about it. We've heard all this crud from you before and it's still boring.

AND LEARN TO EDIT YOUR POSTS!!!
