****************

I had wonderful days in a rainy Copenhagen! Nice to meet our family "another place"! My niece's son was baptized in the Norwegian Seamen's Church, and most of my family was there.

After that, DH and I had two holidays, partly together with other family members. We also visited my niece and her DH one afternoon. Copenhagen is very cozy before Christmas, and we really had a nice time, visting places we wanted to see, eating delicious Danish food, and enjoyed to have a couple of relaxed days together!

AND: I visited 4 yarn shops!! Most of the yarn was types I can get here. One shop though, had things that I wanted to buy, but there were so many costumers that I had to leave before I could get any help :-( I think I have to go online!LOL!

Hej Aud:

Nice to hear you had a good time in Copenhagen. Which yarn shops did you visit? Very interested to hear. I agree that Copenhagen is very cozy before Christmas. We have been VERY busy with customers also; if something is sold out they are understanding. I sometimes joke it's the gnomes teasing us when we aren't there :-)

I was to

*Uldstedet in Fiolstræde, *Strikkeboden at the corner of krystalgade and Fiolstræde, *A new shop (with a very nice lady, and much yarn, but not what I was searching for this time) which I cam e accross, going from Fiolstræde and down to Fredriksbergsgade(? Yes I think that's right, I went to a small Stræde which I cannot remember the name, not through the passage) And , at last *Sommerfuglen at Vandkunsten (they have very much nice yarn). Aud ;-)

I know 3 out of the 4 places, the new shop intrigues me. If you remember the name of the shop or street please let me know. Sommerfuglen is my absolute fave shop, they have lots of nice stuff, good service, and always ask me where I've been when I show up after a while :-)

I think it must have been first (or second?) crossing stræde AFTER you have crossed Gammeltorv/Nytorv (from west). From Nygade and up North, against Frue Plads. I think it is the one called Knabrostræde on the South side of Nygade, but THIS was the North side. The shop was just openend, and she wasn't "registered" anywhere, she laughed, either telephone or net.I cannot remember the shop's name, but I wagely remember it had HER nae +something, (Bente/ Bette/B....????)

She had lots of beautiful Yarns, as far as I remember: Vivian Høgsbro- yarn, Garnstudio/Drops- yarn, and she also showed me a beautiful shawl knitted with MOSKUS yarn in a Beautiful Shetland Lace pattern!! Extremely soft and light weighted, AND expensive. She also had a beautiful little baby hat knitted from the same yarn, but colored. It was soft as angora, but no risk for "fiber breakage". Exclusive!

Hope you find it, I am sure you will like to see what they have. I was searching for a thin, light weighted (but not sock-yarn) multicolored type, but I couldn't find it there. If I had time to plan and think a bit more, I am sure I would have found of something else! Aud ;-)
