Hi Wooly,

What a great site. It will take a little time to go through it all.

Hugs,

Nora

You are amazing! How do you track everything in the yarn world, AND have time to share your knowledge, and get so much knitting done? Sometimes I do believe that you have magical powers. Thank you.

You get the "evil enabler" of the week prize. Lots of temptations there.

I don't sleep much.

I despise doing chores so I get them done as quickly as I possibly can. I make my husband do a reasonable share of the housework, too - he lives here, he can help keep it tidy. Ditto for the offspring.

I pick and choose very carefully where I spend my time outside the home. I spend 10-15 hours volunteering at school every week and I take Meemaw to do her errands, have her hair done and play cards on Fridays.

Most important - I don't commute. When I work I work from home doing database and systems maintenance sorts of things as a contractor. Not having a commute gave me back nearly two hours of my day, every weekday. I spend that recovered time on food prep, mostly :D Before I was laid off we ate a lot of convenience foods, now I cook from scratch every day, including the boy's lunch and breakfast for all three of us. My son's school is a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute drive from home; same for food shopping, and most other "usual" businesses I visit.

As for keeping up with the yarn and fiber world - I don't, not by a long shot. I take the Interweave fiber mags and check several vendor websites every couple of days to see if anything new pops up, and that's about the extent of my "current events" research.

A lot of people over the years have accused me of being an efficiency expert, and I suppose that's true as far as it goes. I can do it for myself, but I can't tell YOU how to do it even if you pay me to. I'm never doing *just one thing* at any given moment, either.

Most of my knitting time is "found time" between doing other things, though I do spend an hour each morning watching the previous evening's "adult programming" that I record on the TIVO. I swear, if NBC adds another program to the L&O franchise I don't know what I'll do!
