A good reason to keep your tetanus vaccination current

I just raked myself a good one with the pawl of my little 4-harness loom. I'm cleaning in my computer room (where the loom lives) so things are moving around. I managed to whack the pawl with my thigh as I swung around in my chair - 6 nice furrows about 3" long and deep enough that they're still bleeding nearly an hour later. I'll have a hell of a scar.

Who said weaving isn't dangerous? :)

Nope, no stitches required. Not enough real estate between furrows to anchor sutures in anyhow. Yes, my tetanus is current - I do scutwork on a farmette in order to earn room and board for my sheep so I have one every 5 years instead of the recommended 10.

Nowadays they use Crazy Glue (cyanoacrylate glue) to close smallish cuts after they're cleaned out.
