OT, very OT, a RANT and RAVE, grrrrrrrrrrr

I am SO ticked off at DHL, the USPS and the VitaminShoppe! I placed an order at the Vitamin shoppe last monday, the 26th, early in the day, which 'they' claim for one that I placed on the 27th. They FINALLY acknowledged my order on the 29th, stating that it had been shipped on the 28th. They gave me a tracking number, but their email said, if your number starts with an 8, it was shipped via DHL. Mine started with a 9, so I questioned that. Fast forward to their response, their mistake, even tho mine starts with a 9, it WAS shipped DHL. Okay, so I go to DHL to track my package. No info available! I hit their contact us button to inquire. I e v e n t u a l l y got a response that it had gotten to their facility in Ohio, and that they had FARMED IT OUT TO THE USPS! They claimed the USPS would deliver it on or before July 3. The mail came today, NO PACKAGE. Now it won't come until the 5th, IF then, dammit! I have never heard of a package from NJ to TN taking this long, nor have I ever heard of a shipper such as DHL, UPS, or FedEx FARMING their deliveries OUT to the USPS! I've contacted my CC card company, and told them to rescind the payment to The Vitamin Shoppe. (heeeeeheeee, that's the ONLY gleeful thing out of this entire fiasco!) Thing is, I was a Vitamin Shoppe customer years ago, and left them last time for precisely the same abhorrant customer treatment. ..... yeesh, give a company a second chance, and manage to FLUB it UP again. Thanks for letting me vent. I am PISSED! Katherine will tell me to not hold back and tell ya'll how I really feel, LOL! Hugs, Noreen

Look at it this way: you aren't contributing to the overfertilization of the waterways with your water.

PS -- Americans's pee as a rule is full of enough vitamins and minerals to keep a small third world country going.

Go over to Walmart, or whatever is your corner cheap equivalent. pick up $3.00 )or 1/5 Euro. worth of whatever "vitamin" you are imagining is so valuable and spare us this tirade.

A well-balanced diet, or even a medium balanced diet requires no further "vitamins." Trie deficiencies take many weeks or months to establish, believe me you have plenty of time before rickets or scurvey set in. Meantime, suck a lime or two.

Thanks.

Back under your rock now!

Noreen, Should be interesting to see how it really shows up and who actually brings it to you. Guess they won't be getting to "three strikes and you're out," will they? Hope it'll at least turn out to be what you wanted to get.

As a long time member of this group, I'll post a rant if I want to. It was posted OT, you didn't have to read it, and your comments are unfounded. What I purchased is NECESSARY to my health, and NINE US DOLLARS cheaper via the 'net than at Walgreens or RiteAID, and is NOT AVAILABLE at WallyWorld. I'll accept an apology from you, JaneB.

21.00 versus 30.00 is a LOT.

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I have experienced shipping from online merchants that has been farmed out to the USPS. Actually, it appeared to me that it was becoming a regular sort of thing.

You are allowed to rant all you want.

I hate DHL shipping and DH will not use them at all. Too many problems with them here as well.

Hopefully you will get your delivery soon.

Yes, I've had experience with it, too.....started out with FedEx and then went to USPS. It worked okay for me.

Hoping your stuff arrives soon, BonnieBlue (who is waiting on Birkenstocks to arrive via UPS.....)

Tell me about the "necessary to my health" thing before I apologize.

I note you didn't say I was wrong.

You also don't know a thing about editing posts before you reply. Get a grip and go bother someone somewhere else. Noreen doesn't owe you a thing, and you're being nosy, besides being a bi***.

That's weird.... isn't the whole reason a company would use a courier is that it's supposed to be faster than the mail service? And aren't you paying a premium for that courier service? (scratching my head in wonder).

I would never call you a name, Sheila. Very trash behaviour on your part.

On the one or two times it has happened on something I ordered, I was told up front how the shipping would be so it was not a problem. In fact, it was not for expedited shipping. It was for regular shipping. I never pay for expedited.

What you have to say to Noreen is between you and Noreen.

I took exception to your tone.

It is a good thing you're able to recognize your betters.

If you wanted to be "spared" from this "tirade", all you had to do was not read it. The subject line was very clear. Instead you bash someone for trying to take care of their health.
