AD and Cool News! - Tink

Hey! It looks like all my work on the writing and distribution of the press release about my public art project is paying off! A local paper has decided that I'm "What's Hot"... At least in their Feb. 5th issue. LOL! I'm doing my best to NOT have any pictures of me in the feature, and I'm insisting that I be referred to simply as Tink. Heheheheh...

So anyway, photos will be taken, so I'm being a good grrl and seriously tidying up the bead room and studio. Well, the studio is always tidy. Go figure. I took a look at all the beads that I haven't photographed and cringed. So I strung them up on some cord and am offering them as a group.

Over 100 beads, torched by the Tinkster. And because I would like to have them out of here before the newspaper guy comes Monday morning, I am throwing in all the things in the other two groupings that I was planning to photograph later this weekend. The other two groupings include several vessels and a nice selection of matched earring pairs.

The photos, and the webpage, were just quickly thrown together, so I apologize that the images aren't up to my usual standards. I think I've covered all the bases with the info on the page, but feel free to email me if you have any questions.

After I picked myself off the floor (where is Sir Harry when I need him? ), I realized I hadn't said congratulations to you on the favorable response to your press release. Woohoo!

I think you should be in the promo picture, I've seen a pic or two of you and you have no reason to be shy with the camera man!

I have a great pair of ducky jammies that I purchased at the Cracker Barrel last year in Arkansas. Very cute and warm.

coulda sent them to me...heheheh.

Didn't sell them yet, have you? Just sent the semi-beg/semi-hint (which he probably won't take) to Ken...who knows...

and of course, if they don't sell (LOL! Okay, pick yourself up, Tink), they would make a great bridal shower present!

earring pairs make great challenges, for control all around (size - matching , stringer control - equal decoration). I am surprised you don't make more, for that reason!!! LOL!

Although I could see why you wouldn't on hollows!

got my area set up again, kinda sorta. Gotta get lights (its a blue tarp over a wood frame), get shims to make the table even (the area was dirt, and we put down flat cement blocks, then put some of the compressed board down that we got for $1.21 each for 4footx4foot, since they were cull lumber). Gotta fix the wood area, since the tarp collected rain, gotta maybe put a plywood piece up there. Gotta get more bead release, since I am not sure where mine went (it was in my nightstand, since I sat one night, and cut/dipped mandrels at the bed in my old place). Need to find some way to seperate those whole 20 or so full-length rods. A bunch of "little" things. But soon...:-)

Kandice, I've had lots of emails from other lampworkers wanting to do something similar in their cities. It would be cool to have you join us!

I have already asked Tink if she minded if I used her template for success and try to do one in our area.

I think next year we might have a nation wide month all linking it back to where it originated, from Tink. What do you guys think?
