Bad Photo - Nice Bead

Here is a really horrid photo of one of my new holiday beads... It doesn't look much like the actual thing, but you get a general idea:

Thanks, guys! I really didn't like anything I came up with for the holiday season last year, but these are making me VERY happy... I've been working on some transparent dark evergreen holly leaves to set them off. The ivory part of the bead looks really yellow in the picture *sigh* It's not like that in person. I did some with olive green ends, dark trans evergreen... Lots of nice, mellow Christmas colors.

Is this the new camera you're trying out? I wonder if you can tweak the editing software to come with a truer image color?

This is the old camera, which is part of the problem. Had to take about 30 pics to get one that could be read from the diskette. I suspect the drive is ready to die. I'm going to practice with the new camera this weekend.

Hey Tink! I was going to call you a tease because the first several times I tried, I couldn't get the picture, but finally did. Very pretty!

Thanks, Kathy... I'm having fun with them. I suppose I should get my Hallowe'en bead up on eBay before my Yule beads though, eh? LOL!

Sorry, had to piggy back this here, because somehow I missed the original posting of the link. I LOVE IT! I think the picture is good. You can see the colors (maybe not the true colors they way they should be, but you can see them). I like the sparklies on it, it is very nice. Would make a nice addition to the bottom of a beaded ball or other Christmas ornament.
