I am a silly mommy!

I have never been "into" Lego, and my kids are too young, except for Juliet who could care less, so I'm out of the loop in terms of where there are any sort of Lego monuments or activities.

I have to admit that I dislike Lego for the same reason I dislike ANY small plastic toys... they're always underfoot.

Yeah, but what size thimble are you going to use? I use a large, but a friend of mine uses an extra small. They come in lots of sizes.

Some are round and some are oval, depending on the manufacturer. I can't imagine people sitting their bead on a Trojan package. :-D

Well, I can but you know what I mean. It would add some interest to the auction but imagine the disappointment when the condom isn't included with the beads!

I knew! Because we are Lego collectors! We have a closet and attic filled with legos. Although it has been years since I have purchased any more sets. I get excited thinking about them. I have built a lego house. True life scale for a lego person. Includes three bedrooms, full bath, living room, dining room, kitchen (with cabinets and breakfast table). It is also completely furnished with scaled furiniture for a Lego Mini fig. (person)

I have also designed a church with pews for the people and a cross stained glass window behind the alter. I wanted to design more stained glass for the windows, but ran out of the little 1X1's to add more. It also has big wooden doors that are included in the castle sets.

I still have them. The house is in a little disrepair and has no roof, but the church is complete. Let me know if you would like to see pictures.

I would LOVE to see pix! I've been known as the "Lego Fairy" in my family since I had disposable income of my own. My niece and nephews have always gotten Lego presents from me for Xmas and birthdays (and my kids, too). I've adored Legos since I was little. I have all the original castle sets and the pirate sets (I love the pirate with the peg-leg! LOL) and most of the Technic sets (trucks, planes, boats, you name it). My son is into the Bionicles and he knows he can count on me to make sure he has all the characters/models. And one of our favorite weekend projects is (after his room is cleaned) building something with the Mindstorms sets. And he's on notice that the camera is ONLY for public areas, not bedrooms or bathrooms. LOL

My Mom just sent us a cool goodie, I'll have to take a pic later...they're sweet-tart style candies in the shape of Lego bricks (but rounded corners) and they actually fit together!

I can hardly wait till GS is old enough for Legos. His daddy, DS made some of the coolest things with them. My fave was the copy of the plane, the name escapes me, but Baloo on the Tailspins cartoon flew it. It was huge! I plan to add to the collection when Marcus is old enough not to want to eat them. For now the Duplo sized ones are a good gateway. Meg loves them too. Your church is an amazingly complex sounding project. Id love to see that! Diana

My son would love to see the pics... he's the lego fanatic in the family. We have every Star Wars, Mission to Mars, and Bionicle kit known to man (he has his eye on the Millenium Falcon for Christmas, dh is just disappointed that it's not as big as the original kit was), plus about 50 others and a big tub of 'plain' legos.
