Ebay Help Please

Hi Y'all I've been selling over at JustBeads, where I can create an auction page in my Front Page software and just paste the HTML in the description area when I list an item. Can the same thing be done on ebay? I just set up an account with ebay tonight and searched everything I could to find the answer, but to no avail. I thought I'd ask before screwing something up. Thanks, Dawn "Art Insomnia"

Yes, you can cut & paste html code into your auction description.

Just be aware that Front Page writes very dirty code, so you may not always get the result you seek when porting it over this way.

It's a good idea to learn how to code simple items like tables, background images, etc. by hand and just do it that way.

Thank you so much Barbara, I had heard that about Front Page before, but never understood. So far it hasn't been a problem. I've been learning VERY basic stuff about HTML as I go, and plan to learn more when I get a chance. I think I'll give it a try the way I'm used to doing it and take it from there. Thanks a whole bunch for the reply. =o) Dawn

Yes you can do use FrontPage as an editor and cut and paste. I also know HTML and can clean up the junk FP generates. Once I had my basic template on eBay I just go in and change a few key sentences or photos and I'm done with new postings.

Yes like barbara said. Once you get to the description part, just cut and paste your code in the description. Hopefully they will look the same.

I have done this with my auctions. I don't have much up this week, because I am going out of town. Take a look and let me know what you think. If you or anyone else wants the code for the search box on the left, let me know. This is an ebay Hack I read from a book. You can place it in all of your auctions. I do not have a store on Ebay, but all my items are searchable within my listings.

Best of luck!
