Can someone help me? I restrung a jade bead necklace for a friend, using nymo and 527 glue. The glue let go and it looked like the glue just peeled of the nymo. Any suggestions? Thanks...Sharon in SW Ontario Canada

What were you glueing - knots? the beads?
I use GS Hypo Cement on Nymo and have never had a problem.
I've never heard of 527 glue. If it's not a penetrating cryo type glue, it probably won't stick to Nymo, Silamide or Fireline. I suggest Hypcement, which is a jeweler's glue and very easy to get into tight spaces as it comes with a precision head.

Me too. What the heck is 527?>
A kind of goopy-gel, clear, very smelly contact cement. I've used it for crafts - -but not jewelry.....
They sell it at Michael's crafts stores...
