Once you've recovered from your trip, we'll have to have a chat about this. Any other UK beaders are welcome to chime in.

Oh, I didn't take is as criticism at all! I just find it relaxing to cook, although I admit that since Avner joined the family, entree's aren't nearly as elaborate as they used to be. As far as shopping goes, I'm a major label reader - not just ingredients, but price per ounce, value, etc. This comes from a period in my life when I lived off of $8-10 a week for a grocery budget. Ate a lot of house brand mac&cheese and cheap bologna. Blech.
As far as being too busy to cook - look into the Once a Month Cooking thing. You do all of your cooking for the month over a weekend and then just freeze it. I'm sure you could scale down the recipes to fit your freezer better and that way you just need to pop things into the micro every night and fix a fresh veggie.

PS and i can relate to the dog with gas. When my two get anyting with wheat or corn, watch out!
Well, except for my living room furniture and piano, I basically had to get rid of ALL my antiques to move back to our little house. Funny thing, my DD wanted a *new* bedroom set instead of her antiques, so we went shopping and she picked one. It *looks* antique (but isn't made nearly as well), LOLOLOLOL!

That's the spirit!!! :D
I'm still working up the nerve to rip it all out and re-weave it. I just can't seem to do it, yanno? I mean, that was a dedicated 8 days of my life (a drop in the bucket, I know) that went into the base cuff alone!
Aaarrgghh! I swear to the gawds, I will one day get revenge on my bead fondling/warping husband!
Will do, thank you, Kathy:)
OH!!!!!
I sooooo want to open a shop, but every time I turn around, there is another one going in somewhere. I just need to move to the UK and open a shop! Now there is a melding of several ultimate dreams.....

you know . . . . considering our woeful lack up here on 'the ridge', i've thought that several times. and then LUCKILY, someone reminds me that no, i really DON'T want to. because as much as i love beads and glass, etc, etc, etc . . .
what i DON'T want is to be tied to a storefront. and business hours. and all that PAPERWORK! and laws. and regulations. etc, etc, etc.
i was SO glad that Johnny thought to point that out to me and keeps reminding me!!!
