I'm so thrilled, my daughter, who is a senior in college majoring in special ed, made all A's this semester! She was floating on air... but everyone she called about it was so ho hum (jealousy maybe?). I was especially proud as she also takes excellent care of her 2 year old son (who I keep while she's in school). And yes he already loves beads! We have a special stash he plays with almost every time he comes over... if he doesn't turn out to be some kind of beader, it won't be Nana's fault!
Anyway, I wanted to encourage my daughter to continue the good work, so I took her to my special drawer and gave her a lovely amethyst/sterling necklace and an onyx/sterling ring... And we took a bead detour so I could match a bracelet to her new blouse I got her for Christmas. It's sort of a
60's style, with shades of rose and olive, with paisley and rose designs on it with a fairly low V neck and long sleeves. So I have plenty of skin space to deal with if I made a necklace as well! I'm not sure exactly how I will bead it as yet. Any suggestions? Will post a pic when I get done.Whatever did I do for reassurance before I became a beader? I can't remember! Anyhow, Beads to the rescue again! :)
