OFF TOPIC -- NOT BEADY

I was at Lake Tahoe this past weekend to meet up with a good friend from Ohio. Her boyfriend was participating in a bike race to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation for cancer survivors. He is a cancer survivor. She was there to support him, I was there to support her.

There was a bad accident with one of those participating in the race. That is all we knew. We heard it all day, it was all over the news. Until the moment that her boyfriend pulled up at the finish line, my friend didn't know if he was OK. He was; we were grateful.

Today is Friday. I found a note on my bosses desk that says that the husband of his personal attorney was killed in a biking accident at Lake Tahoe this weekend, where he was participating in a race.

The world is a small place. We are all connected. And, Life is Precious.

Make a point of telling those that you love that you love them. Today. Do it because I've asked. It feels important to me.

I love everyone here, for real. I know sometimes we have our differences, but you all are a great group of humanoids, and I'm happy to be a part of this group.

You're right, Becki. It's important to say.

Another facet of this is to remember to be happy. For most of us, happiness and peace is available, if that's what we choose. We can enjoy the now, even if it's not all we want. And even when we have chronic pain, like Sooz, or Depression like me, we can choose to appreciate what we have and who we have. Our lives and loves don't have to be perfect to be good.

Love to my friends here.
