OH WOW! Wild Boots and Pearls! OT

Yesterday I got a notice that the post office had a parcel for me. Kathy and I were dying to know what it was, but we couldn't get our hands on it until today. I am SO glad it arrived while she was here!



It was from Kathy N-V and contained the most astounding, mind-blowing, Tinkworthy Doc Martens you have EVER seen! Take a look at:

a wonderful, wonderful present! I am so grateful for these boots... Irarely get stuff for myself unless it's sensible (lol), and I was completelynuts for these boots when I saw them online. Kathy took it upon herself tomake a gift of them to me, which STILL has me stunned. They are amazing!Kathy, these boots TOTALLY rock, and the 5UK size is a PERFECT fit! I'mgoing to hunt for some lime green laces for them now. LOL! If that weren't enough, my pearls were also in the box (they are awesome!), along with a great chocolate bar and some PARTY POPPERS! Kathy KDK and I amused my neighbors by running out to the front porch and popping them, then giggling uncontrollably!

I'm so glad you liked the Tink-box of goodies. I have to say that I found the boots to be wicked scary, and so did the girls. When DH saw them, he thought I bought them for myself and almost choked on his rigatone. (hehehehe) The chocolate is a common German brand, but it's tough to get here, and DD brought me home a stash, which I am guarding jealously. And the party poppers seemed so... Tink that I had to toss them in the box.

And if that weren't enough, I'm actually TORCHING today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay! Here is my new scheme to force myself to focus: I put a limited palette on my work surface and I am NOT allowed to add any colors to it. I can replace colors that I use up, but nothing new. No matter what. I'm even doing sets! Yikes!

Autumn. That pretty much sums it up.
