OT: I've been KFNRed! AKA: Attention CarolSLC & Juanita

That is, kalidescoped for no reason. Well, there was a reason - Hannukah, but I digress.

Today in the mail I got a package from Juanita and I thought, that's weird, I paid her for the auction AFTER this package was mailed. Well, I open up the package and there's this lovely handpainted gift bag and a card inside from CarolSLC wishing me a Happy Hannukah! Inside the gift bag was this amazingly beautiful PENGUIN kalidescope made by Juanita. The outside is a lovely pearly color all embossed with snowflakes and stars and this darling penguin figurine hugging the 'scope. There was a lovely 'iceberg' ceramic holder for the 'scope, too and it's signed by Juanita. I'm just all warm and fuzzy inside now and feel very, very special.

Thank you Carol for such a wonderful gift and thank you, Juanita for your talent!

Big hugs to all...

LOL-- I wondered if it wasn't someone on the list that bought it, because that item all of a sudden "disappeared" as things do around here. Good move, my friends!

And I was wondering where the picture for it went, because I never got a chance to see it before Juanita said it was 'gone'. I've got some good friends here, and I'm so grateful.

And you are!!! Glad it got there safe and sound. Juanita was kind enough to mail it for me and save me battling the crowds at the P.O.

they were OUT THE DOOR today, no shit, no less than 75 people in line. I went straight to the stamp machine, weighed my envelope, bought my stamps and left. Holy crap.

I will post a pic as soon as my work deadline is over - right now I'm putting in 14 hour days at the work PC!

That sucks!!! For the first time in 30 years I am only working part time and I LOVE it!!!!!!! Actually, my full-time was seven days a week and my days were sooooo long. I have all kinds of time now to bead and read, and do all the things I love to do!!!!!!

I am so not going to the post office until after Christmas! Fortunately my postman is happy to pick up the small packages I ship out, or if not, they all fit in the drop box.

poor baby! our town is only 28,000. fair-sized post office. anywhere from three to five clerks on duty most of the time. longest lines are 10-12 people. i really feel sorry for people stuck in those incredibly long lines!

And this is why I use USPS online labels for Priority and the Shipping Assistant for all else. I can do Deliv. Conf. without leaving home....!

I know, LOL. I started to make a smart ass crack about the fact that since Juanita took it to the post office, that meant she got her gift this year, LOL. Because I know how you are with the PO!!! Which reminds me, gotta get my excuses in early. Your gifts are packed. They will be after Christmas, as usual, LOL, or I may just come deliver them in person. Either way, they are put away and I don't intend to dig them out, LOL. They are safe there. Oops, by packed i meant packed in with the stuff that is ready to go to CA. Not packed as in ready to mail, LOL. That would have made too much sense!

Yes, absolutely! We also have online accounts with UPS and FedEx. Boy, does he get some dirty looks when he cruises right past the long line to drop a box on the belt, and the clerk looks at it and just nods... the time saved is well worth the effort of setting up the account.
