Deep, cool beech forest. Ceaseless, crystal rain. A thousand waterfalls that cascade down mountain sides through thickly ferned emabankments. Towering tree ferns that are momentos of the world when it was young. Creeks swollen with rain fall, frightening and magnificent in their power and majesty. A backdrop of mountains, deeply, mysteriously shrouded by clouds and rain.
We drove all day through heavy rain, somewhat fearful that the road might not be passable but at the same time, entranced by the magic of this country and drawn on to discover what lies beyond the next bend in the road.
I wish you could all be here!
