OT: News to Share

As of around 9 pm last night, I am now the future Mrs. Wright (okay, did that come out right)? He asked me to marry him!!!

The whole day came out *so* sweet. I had sat down at the computer, was answering emails to get ready to "work", and he came over. I have a ring that one of the prongs is broken, and he asked me if he could have it, so that he could have it fixed. 1/2 hour later, soap and hand lotion, Igot it off (LOL!).

He got ready, then "casually" asked me if I wanted to go to the mall with him. Sure! So we went in, and we wandered a couple of stores, then went to Waldenbooks. He looked for a grand total of 2 seconds, then told me he had to go to the bathroom. 20 minutes later, he came back, and said "Okay, you ready to go?". We bought the book, and walked out. He asked if I wanted to eat, and took me down towards a restaurant. Gee, we got to Crescent Jeweler's, and he just *happened* to pause, and asked me what kind of rings I liked (in the sapphire/ruby/emerald type rings). The people in there were kindof like "Hi..." , not "Hi, can I help you". I handled a few, and made mention of the fact that the only rings I had were the ones on my finger, and the broken one (they had one exactly like it on display), other than wedding rings. So as I was looking and putting on rings, she kept bringing out bands that would match, also.

After, we walked out, and he said "so, do you want your hair cut?". Hmmm, I thought we were going to eat, and so we went to eat. Then I went and got my haircut, and I saw him back at the store...

We got home, and he said "Oh, why don't we go out tonight for dinner"? Hmmmmm. So I dressed up (including makeup, which I don't wear a lot), and he dressed up in his suit (which he definitely cuts a dashing figure in).

We ate, and after, we were doing the googly-loveydovey eye thing, and he said that he was trying to find a collar for me, but since the stores in that mall didn't have them, he had to go for the next best thing, and would I? I was crying by then, and said "If you mean for me to be your wife, then yes!". 5 minutes of crying, and 2 girls just happened to walk by, and I just said "he asked me to marry him". So I got exclaimed over by two total strangers. Went to the bathroom to wipe off the racoon eyes, and showed off there, too (and got a hug)...

I found a picture of the ring, it is *so* pretty! It is a tanzanite heart stone, set into a white gold band, with gold "wraps" around. He got a matching band, white gold, with the gold "wraps" and diamonds set along (I am not so much a "plain" solitaire/plain band person). I *love* it!!!

Here's the picture (okay, with the ad...LOL!):

It's the one that says "tanzanite and diamond" next to the tanzanite and opal heart pendant necklace, right above "open an account today". See, Tink, what you get for *NOT* answering your phone today? Well, I wanted to share! I am a *very* happy girl!

A *very* happy girl! Mary

Mary, What wonderful news!! And your ring looks beautiful as well. Love that Tanzanite! My dh gave me a tanzanite ring for our 24th anniversary, and I hope you as many or more happy years together. I'm so happy for both of you. Patti

Thank you, everyone...I am *so* lucky to have him...

I am definitely still in that afterglow...

but it's funny...we have friends up that we haven't seen for almost a year, and they said that we act like a married couple, but honeymooners. We have acted like that the whole time I have known him!

Even in certain situations, he has called me his fiance, so now, it's official!

happy, happy, joy joy!
