OT: No wedding on Saturday but...

My condolences on your uncle.

Small world, Harrisburg is my hometown! We were there in July visiting my Mom. Spit in the Susquehanna for me and have some good peaches.

thanks everyone. i know it's stupid to say, but maybe God's plan was this, so that my depression wouldn't hit so badly on Saturday. Our funerals are kinda cool...they really are celebrations of our relatives' earthly lives. My parents' generation of which Uncle Sam was a member, were so spiritual, and so looking forward to their next life, that to do anything less than to happily "send them off" would do them a disservice.
