OT: Story: My new blog thingy

Last night I decided I was going to start a newsy chatty blog on my site. (What was I thinking? I never have news, nor am I chatty). But I thought it might be a good way to have new content and for buyers to get to know me.

Well, I made my first page and I'm sorry to say I went a little deep for what it is. Way deep probably. Anyway, here it is:

And, if anyone knows of a good kids book on the subject I'd love it if you passed along the title...

I just went out to Amazon and that one looks great. Wasn't Mr. Rogers wonderful? Thanks for the title.

I love *Dog Heaven* by Cynthia Rylant. I know there's *Cat Heaven* too, although I haven't read it.

that one looks good too - though it looks like I might have a hard time reading it without crying myself. Looks like a great gift book too. Thanks :)

I'm so sorry. That made me cry. Did you get a book? Is he okay with it? (as far as a child can be)

Oh I'm sorry it made you cry. The books suggested here sound great and I'll hit borders tomorrow to see if they have them - if not I'll order them online. We were going to go to borders today on our way home from our second appt. but he fell asleep before we made it there so I just kept driving home. He hasn't asked about it since he woke up so I guess he's fine with it now. But I'm still getting those books - it's going to come up again I know.

We used it to explain to our then 3 year old nephew what happened to grandma and grandpa when they died. one day, he asked his mom if he could talk to grandma (they used to talk on the phone a couple of times a week). she said that she was with Jesus, and Luke then said.."call Jesus and get her on the phone!". But now...no memory of them at all...too bad, they loved him so much.

It's a great "big person" book ,too.

3 year olds take things so litterally! That's would be so funny if it wasn't so sad. I tell my Luke to "hold his horses" and he looks at his hands and then holds them up and shakes his head at me.

Thank you Alison, and the best thing, I feel a huge weight off me for writing it.
