Photographing Pieces

Sounds like a great idea. Where could I look at one?

I've been scoping out the clouddome.com site, and wondering, why can't I just cut a hole in the bottom of a tupperware-type bowl, and use my tripod for holding the camera? I have seen dozens of bowls, at the dollar store, that are semi-transparent white...

In any case, for a dollar, I think I will try it ;o)

It's called the Digital Lighthouse. You can find the small size on-line for about 44.00. I opted for the medium size so that I could use it for my fused glass work as well. Barbara Dream Master

Thanks, Barbara. It sounds like the medium size would be needed for necklaces too.

I thought that too. But I bet if I tried it wouldn't work.

Our local shop has a huge Tupperware bowl he cut a hole in the bottom. It holds the camera nicely and takes great shots. Give it a try. That's what I use now.

I have tried to create a diffuser by using a tuperware, and I covered it with flimsy supermarket plastic, and cut a hole in the bottom of the tupperware. The tupperware douples as a tripod (similar to the jug thing shown in another link). It works really nicely!
