Rock ON! I put a Free box out front. To hell with the garage sale idea! That's a weekend of precious time I can't *ever* get back again. We eat just fine without that money. I'd rather have time than money anyway.

I give it away, throw it away, or keep it. Sometimes (rarely), if I feel it's too good to give away, I'll sell it through an eBay broker (who sells it for me), or give it to a beloved friend. I can live with that. Life is TOO SHORT to keep heaps of junk in my house just so I can kill myself having a garage sale. Most garage sales sell less than half the junk -- and you have to give it away anyhow.

Absolutely. Because there's not foot traffic, or even normal street traffic, I take my things to the "exchange platform" at the dump. Occasionally Pete will put something at the end of the driveway for sale or for free. Furniture, a vehicle, etc. Oddly, there has never been anything stolen when he has put something there saying it's for sale. Nor would it upset us if it were (in most cases).

Same reasons. Need the room and the time.
