seed bead questions

What's the difference between AB and HighAB?

I'm looking at some bronze seed beads in the Shipwreck catalog, p. 159. (2003). From the picture, they look alike.

I was trying to find some seed beads that would go with this vessel that I posted the other day:

I was thinking the bronze and the turquoise green ABs might. Boy do I wish I had a LBS that wasn't an hour away! Also, what size are delicas?

I don't know what the diff is either, guessing high AB is more AB, kind of like double AB?

Your vessel is super, but why stick to one color of seeds? It would be fantastic to pick out several colors and maybe do spiral rope of some kind. It is very hard to pick out seeds from photos though, it would be great if you could go to a LBS and see them "in person" or "in beadyson" or whatever.

Or you could pick out a very neutral color, a beige matte, which would really make the vessel stand out.

Or shiny black, which might be your best bet, because it wouldn't fight with the other colors, and if you wore black, the necklace would fade to the background and make the vessel seem to be suspended on your chest.

Delicas are about a size 11/0, but they are more uniform, more cylindrical and have larger holes than 11/0's generally do.

Thanks Karleen!

I had time to run to Hobby Lobby, while my DD was at Karate tonight, and I got some delicas. I had some that I liked, but not quite the right colors. Yes, I was planning on mixing colors. I think I'm going to have three or four colors to bring out the ambers and the greens, too. I'll post a pic when I'm done. I have no idea how I'm going to attach the necklace to the handles yet!
