A thought for the Angel stitchers

Let's close our eyes and recall the spirit in which we undertook to stitch Angel of the Morning to honor the memory of the firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11.

Honor their memory?

We should be ashamed of ourselves.

I know how you mean those words. But I'm not ashamed of my actions . . . only the actions of a few here who keep making this project into something less than honorable. Who keep trying to demean everything we've done to this date.

If we don't respond, we soon won't see any of their posts. I'm not going to let a few individuals spoil my respect for this project. I am, personally, pointing a finger at those who would insult all of us who worked so hard to see the project through to its completion.

Well, the problems don't really have anything to do with the Angel. She's a thing of beauty and beyond our petty differences. She IS a memorial to the sacrifices made by the firefighters and everyone else who gave of themselves on 9/11. The problem is that I will no longer cut Victoria any slack and I keep calling her on her posts. There are only a few other Angel stitchers who are involved in responding to these posts so the responsibility lays directly at my doorstep. I'd say I was sorry but I'm not. People have let her behaviour go on for too long. If I hadn't been wrongly accused of all sorts of negative stuff, I might have just let it slide. But when I am called a liar, petty, vindictive, etc. in just about every post, it's obvious that Victoria's posts are no longer really about the Angel. They are about blaming me because things didn't go the way she wanted them to go.
