Firehouse Angel Framing Status

So far I like Susan's framing the best (is it an "outy" (curve out) or "inny" (curve in like Simon's) frame? I can't tell. I usually like "innies" better). I'm guessing the gold in the frame and fillet bring out the metallic stitching? How would it look if the suede mat (I

That is a bold faced lie and yes, I am saying you are a liar when you made that statement. One wonders just HOW I could control something that hasn't been in my hands since I mailed the piece off to Jan L. in the UK. Do you think I TELL the stitchers what to do? The only thing I have ever TOLD anyone is who to send the piece to next. I have certainly taken over more of the day to day "housekeeping" functions as time went by because YOU told me to. You didn't want to have to bother with answering e-mails and dealing with the differences of opinions, etc. that people were coming to you with because your health wouldn't allow you to do this stuff. YOU abdicated all power &/or control and were quite happy to have me take over those duties. I never TOOK control, you GAVE IT to me, and quite gladly at that. What I think you are likely really upset about is that I had the cojones to point out that once you asked others to join you in the Angel project, it was no longer solely *your* project -- it had become a group project. When you wanted everything returned to you, I pointed out that this was not fair because there were still quite a few people who had been waiting patiently for their turn to stitch on the piece. I also pointed out that, regardless of what you said, we had no real way of knowing what you would do with the piece if it was returned to you unfinished. No one ever said you *would* do something different, just that we had no way of knowing for sure what would be done with the piece if it was sent back to you partially completed. In essence you wanted us to trust you to do what YOU wanted done with the piece -- you weren't going to do what those involved voted for but only what you wanted to do. The rub came because you wanted us to trust you but you didn't trust us to finish the piece and then send it back to you to have it framed and presented to the FDNY.

Well then, maybe YOU should go back in the posts. You might be surprised to see just how badly you have behaved over this project, time and time again.

Might I suggest that since Mary is doing all the hard work finalising the framing we leave it to her own good taste, rather than seek what may so many diverse opinions, and possiblt causing even more arguments?

That sounds like an excellent idea. Framing is a matter of individual taste, and it's almost impossible to come to a consensus.
