The quilt is lovely. I had never seen crayons used and I didn't realize just how nice the colors would be.
Belle looks like a sweetie and Scruffy is adorable, and she certainly looks like she belongs and fits right in.
Le Printemps I have been craving and one of these days I will give in and buy it. As to the Laura Perin, I have one kitted up and ready to go and looking at your picture makes me even more anxious to get to it, but first I have to finish the gift cross stitch I'm working on.

It's all great and I love the animals on the quilt ! Also very nice to see Scruffy, although he doesn't look the least scruffy lol
What's not to like? You done good!!!
That's becauase he's had a haircut. He was so matted he was unbrushable - and stinky. So I went to work. Amateur, but he looks a lot better - and can see now that we've gotten the stuff out of his face! Plus he smells better now that he's had a bath. Still a bit smelly - I think from being outdoors and wet so much - but getting better. Any hints on how to speed the process along?

Try rubbing a little cornstarch into his fur, combing it out and then giving him a bath in Johnson's Baby Shampoo. I think the baby shampoo does a better job at deodorizing then doggie shampoo does and at the same time it's very mild and doesn't dry their skin too much. I used that a lot when Puff was a puppy instead of the fancy, aka expensive, blue shampoo that's especially made for a white dog.

My daughter had a Yorkie and I know she always used hair conditioner on him because of his fur really being closer to super fine hair. She used to pin his bangs up on his forehead and he seemed to prefer that, certainly expected it to be done in the morning, ready for the day. Basically though, the more you bath a dog, the more you will have to.
I know - that's why I'm trying to avoid getting him wet. I think I'll try the cornstarch idea (I had thought about baking soda lol). I'll wait a week or two before bathing him again and will try the baby shampoo and conditioner idea. . .

If you want it, contact me offlist and I'll send it along. The chances of me doing it again in my lifetime are slim to none LOL!

I'm inspired to get stitching....

I got some stuff from the groomer when I had Dakota for a long time after a skunking... It is avocado based and it is sold as an anti itch but doubles as "doggie de-stink".
Cheyrl
At Scruffy's size, one large can of tomato juice should do it.
Linda, Starry night is absolutely *gorgeous*! How big is it?
Joan
Thank you. It's about 11" x 11". It was a lot of fun to stitch and actually worked up quickly. Something I really like about her patterns - you see progress!

Usually I just lurk but had to comment on your work--it is beautiful. Love Starry Night! And your puppy dogs are sooo cute.
